What Will You Decline to Eat?
Would you eat a hot dog in a bun with relish left sitting on a shelf in a fridge unwrapped? Would you drink someone's already opened Diet Coke? Why would someone do such a thing?
Maybe because they thought it was theirs. Suppose you had a hot dog and you forgot that you had put it on the table beside you and then you look in the fridge to find a Diet Coke. Well, how should you know that the 20 oz Diet Coke is already opened? So you open it, and it hisses, and you drink it. Now you're thinking, "I sure am ready for my hot dog." You're pretty tired too. So when you see the hot dog, and your buddy's chatting away at you, you don't even notice that it's cold as you sit down and bite into it. In the back of your mind, you get a hint of a question of "why does this taste like relish when it should taste like ketchup and mustard?". In fact, when you finish you are practically floored to notice that another hot dog is sitting on the table beside you. How did that happen? It takes a minute, but with your friend's help you figure it out. The best thing to do is to place the surviving hot dog into the fridge in the paper tray you just emptied. Maybe the owner won't notice. Later on when you happen to return to the room at the same time as a man is looking bewilderedly at a hot dog with ketchup and mustard, you look at your cell phone suddenly and leave the room.
